‘Fountains’ is a dementia café that we run at West Hucknall Baptist Church on the second Tuesday of each month, 10:30am -12 noon.

We offer a warm and friendly welcome for anyone with dementia and their primary carer. Join us for free refreshments and activities.

What are Dementia Cafés?

[The following text is taken from the Alzheimer’s Society website.]

Come along to one of our local cafés and have a cup of tea with someone who understands. Our highly skilled staff can give you information and help sign post you to other available support services.

These things can make a huge difference when you or someone you know has dementia.

Your local dementia café provides a safe and supportive place for you to:

  • Discuss your own dementia diagnosis, or someone else’s, and think about what it means for the future.
  • Get answers from health professionals and meet and learn from other people in similar situations.
  • Keep active, make new friends and feel more confident.
